The studio

Why I started MiniScape.

MiniScape Games is a small game studio in the Netherlands. For now that means one person, two games in testing, and a plan that goes further than both of them.

A brand of Aivion Studios

I have been a gamer for as long as I can remember, and for just as long I wanted to make games myself. What always stopped me was the distance between having an idea and having something that actually runs. With AI in the mix — ChatGPT and Claude Code — that distance got short enough to simply start.

My games are not original, and I am not going to pretend otherwise. They usually begin with something I played once and liked. But they get made my own along the way, and there ends up being more in them than what I started with.

The first ones are Android games: small, simple, made for the odd ten minutes. Wind down with Shift, or wind yourself right up with Midnight Dash. A few more will follow — partly to get to know all of this properly, partly because I think they can be good games.

What all of it is heading towards is a game of my own, for PC and tablet, which I will announce later this year. Everything before it is a step in that direction. But these Android games are not something I knock out on the way: I enjoy them, and the interesting part is building them further — bigger, better, more in them.

They will not be for everyone, and I know that. Some people will look at this and say: another vibe coder messing about. Fair enough. I am doing my best, I want to learn, and I want to get the most out of it in a short space of time.

Two games

What is on the bench.

So: give it a go.

It sounds like a cliché, but give me and MiniScape Games a chance. Download the games once they are out, play them, and leave your feedback in the Play Store. I would appreciate that enormously.
